BIG TIME RUSH
The series stars Kendall Schmidt as Kendall Knight, James Maslow as James Diamond, Carlos Pena Jr. as Carlos Garcia, and Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell. They get a chance to become the newest pop sensation, the opportunity to be the boy band called Big Time Rush.The series navigates through all their antics, conflicts, and schemes living in Los Angeles. The program began airing on YTV on September 6, 2010. The series co-stars Ciara Bravo, Tanya Chisholm, and Stephen Kramer Glickman. The series is taped in Los Angeles, California, and was created by Scott Fellows.
They move to Los Angeles, California, where they live at the Palmwoods Hotel and attend the Palmwoods School, a special school just for actors, actresses, singers, and other performers. The boys routinely come into conflict with their overbearing, outrageous, hard-driving (but successful) producer, Gustavo Rocque (Stephen Kramer Glickman), and his well-meaning assistant, Kelly Wainwright (Tanya Chisholm), while trying to impress Gustavo's boss, Arthur Griffin (Matt Riedy), so that they can become successful. The boys also frequently come into conflict with Mr. Bitters (David Anthony Higgins), the Palmwoods Manager.
CARLOS PENA JR
He was raised in Weston, Florida.He attended Sagemont Upper School.His first major role was a guest shot at age 15 on ER, followed later that year by guest-starring roles on Judging Amy, Summerland, and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.He appeared in local productions of Grease and Man of La Mancha.He also had a role in the American Heritage School, where he attended before leaving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, production of Titanic.During his run in Titanic he fell in love with singing and dancing.While still in high school, Pena appeared in television commercials for the Super Soaker brand recreational water gun, and his image even appeared on the toy's packaging.
Pena was studying musical theater at the Boston Conservatory when his manager urged him to audition for Big Time Rush.Although he was reluctant to do so, he submitted an audition tape and won the role a month later.Pena moved to Hollywood in August 2009
KENDALL SCHMIDT
Kendall Francis Schmidt (born November 2, 1990) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for playing as Kendall Knight from Big Time Rush. Kendall is the star of Nickelodeon's hit live-action show, Big Time Rush as Kendall Knight, a 16 year old hockey player from Minnesota. He has played small roles on different TV shows such as ER, Without a Trace and Frasier. Kendall was also in a band titled Heffron Drive with fellow actor and singer Dustin Belt. His brother is Kevin Schmidt from Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper By The Dozen 2. Kendall also has two tattoos which he got at the age of 18.
Schmidt began his acting career at age six, appearing in a Chex television commercial. When he was 10 years old, he was one of three young actors who was hired to be Haley Joel Osment's stand-in and body double (they shared the same agent) in the Steven Spielberg film, A.I. Artificial Intelligence.He celebrated his birthday on the set, and Spielberg and the cast surprised him with a birthday cake decorated with Star Wars figures.
In mid 2009, Schmidt was cast in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush as one of the four main characters, Kendall Knight. LOGAN HENDERSON
Logan Philip Henderson(born September 14, 1989)is an American actor, dancer, rapper and singer. He is best known for his starring role as Logan Mitchell on the Nickelodeon series, Big Time Rush, as well as being a member of the Big Time Rush band itself. He also appeared in Season 2, episode 12 of Friday Night Lights, titled "Who Do You Think You Are".
Logan Philip Henderson was born in North Richland Hills, Texas (near Dallas),and had a small role as a bully on the television program Friday Night Lightsbefore moving to California at the age of 18, to pursue his acting career.Big Time Rush is his breakthrough role.Big Time Rush's first album was released October 11, 2010, via Sony and Columbia Records. Logan and the rest of Big Time Rush made an appearance at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards and performed at the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards. JAMES MASLOW
James David Maslow (born July 16, 1990) is an American actor, singer and dancer. He is best known for playing the role of James Diamond on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, and is a member of the boy music group with the same name.
Maslow was born in New York, and raised in La Jolla, California.In 1996, Maslow began training as a singer at the age of 6 when his parents made him sing in the San Diego Children's Choir.He attended La Jolla and Torrey Pines elementary schools, Muirlands Middle School, and San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts He had a small role in the San Diego Opera's production of La bohème when he was 10 years old.He attended acting camp at the La Jolla Playhouse, got his first agent when he was 14, and in high school starred as Danny Zuko in Grease and as Marius in Les Misérables.He quit the School of Creative and Performing Arts mid-way through the 10th grade and switched to Coronado School of the Arts. He tested out of high school in 2006, at the age of 16.
He made his television debut as Shane in the iCarly episode "iSaw Him First"in 2008. He has a scar on his elbow, which he received while performing a hockey-related stunt for the first episode of Big Time Rush.
Maslow is Jewish. In an interview with Clevver TV, when asked his favorite holiday, he replied Hannukah.

In 2007, Nickelodeon was casting and looking for people to be in a new band to be in a new sitcom called Big Time Rush. Maslow sent in his audition tape when his desire was in singing and acting. He got the role of James Diamond 2 years later. Kendall Schmidt won the role of Kendall Knight over many other people because of the difficult decision of casting him over others. Carlos Pena, Jr. and Logan Henderson sent in their audition tapes and were accepted to be Carlos Garcia and Logan Mitchell over thousands of other boys.
The boys have recorded many songs including the theme song of the same title as the show, "Any Kind Of Guy", "City Is Ours", "Halfway There", "Famous", "Shot in the Dark", and "Stuck". Additional songs will be released throughout the show's first season. They and Nickelodeon are planning on releasing an album of songs from the first season of the show including some new ones.
